Following on from last Tuesday’s 2-0 victory over Chelmsford in the Play Off Semi Final 1st Leg, it was all aboard one of the three coaches for a trip to Essex in the semi final.

To say I was nervous was an understatement. Due to the long journey and volume of fans expected to attend the game, we had to leave Bath early. This gave me many hours to work myself up into a great state of anxiety. So much so, I was almost physically sick upon our arrival at ground.

Some deep breaths of Essex air calmed my nerves a little, and by the time the game was underway, I was too engrossed in watching the match and singing for the players that I forgot about any panic-induced nausea.

As I predicted, just like in the first leg, Chelmsford battered us. Our defence and goalkeeper were given a workout that would cause Mr. Motivator to collapse with a coronary. However, also like the first leg, the Essex boys failed to score. When half time came and the score line read 0-0, I was very much relived – as was my stomach.

The second half was a different story. Gone were the pre-match nerves. Bath City took control of the game from a Chelmsford side that appeared to have conceded defeat and accepted that they would not be winning promotion. When Kaid Mohamed, the penalty king from the first leg, scored to make the aggregate score line 3-0, we all knew the tie was won.

Cue 30 minutes of singing, dancing, a sending off for their goalkeeper and a horrible and abusive Chelmsford defender, who grabbed his genitalia and offered the joyous Bath City fans a fight on the pitch.

The City fans were sent home happy, while Chelmsford’s No.4 was sent to collect all his toys he threw out the pram before his mummy came to pick him up.

Bath City will now host Woking in the final at Twerton Park next Sunday at 2pm. I encourage anyone who lives in or around Bath and likes football to come along. Those who don’t like it, buy some ear plugs, as the place will be rocking.

Like those Where's Wally books, can you spot me?

So you stumbled across my blog. No doubt after searching for something bizarre on Google. Before you hit that 'Back Button', why not stay and have a read for a few minutes?

If you are after a website which gives advice on how to hack an iPhone X, download the latest Steven Seagal movie, or view nudy ladies, you've come to the wrong place and may now press 'Back'.

However, if you would like a lifestyle blog, written by a 30-something chap, living in Bath (England), feast your eyes on this.

You won't discover how to copy PlayStation 4 games. What you will find is a blog, covering life in the West Country, the highs and lows of supporting two unsuccessful football teams, while sharing a house with a wife and rabbit.

All written by a man, somewhere on the sanity-scale between normal and eccentric.
