Tomorrow afternoon, Bath City start a new season in a new league – the National Conference, or as the corporate fat cats are calling it, The Blue Square Bet Premier… quiet a mouthful – I prefer the former.

I will, of course, be attending the opening game, which is against an old enemy from past seasons, Hayes & Yeading United. Even in the lower divisions, this was one of my least favoured trips, so going there again is something of an anticlimax to the start of the season.

Hopefully we can something we haven’t done before and actually beat Hayes & Yeading. It would also be nice to not emulate the previous two opening-day fixtures and concede four goals!

Time for bed now – I have an early start, but if you consider I’ll be travelling to Gateshead in a few months, this weekend’s game is almost a local derby.

  • About Me

So you stumbled across my blog. No doubt after searching for something bizarre on Google. Before you hit that 'Back Button', why not stay and have a read for a few minutes?

If you are after a website which gives advice on how to hack an iPhone X, download the latest Steven Seagal movie, or view nudy ladies, you've come to the wrong place and may now press 'Back'.

However, if you would like a lifestyle blog, written by a 30-something chap, living in Bath (England), feast your eyes on this.

You won't discover how to copy PlayStation 4 games. What you will find is a blog, covering life in the West Country, the highs and lows of supporting two unsuccessful football teams, while sharing a house with a wife and rabbit.

All written by a man, somewhere on the sanity-scale between normal and eccentric.
