I was awoken in the night by another thunderstorm. If I thought the other night’s was a boomshanka, mother-hubbard, shit-storm of a storm, this was something else! The lightning made the night sky as light as day. If that wasn’t scary enough, the morning was worse. Dark, black clouds descended, making the day appear night. It felt like the end of the world. Then the thunder started again, before a downpour of rain like I’ve never seen before. It was like God was spraying his shower on full blast onto earth.

Then there was the heat. It was hot. So, so, so hot. I thought storms were meant to cool down the atmosphere. The house felt like a jungle. I opened all the windows. Claire has only just gone around and closed them, meaning they’ve been open all day, so no doubt all the spiders that live in Weston Village have crawled into the house and will kill me in my sleep, or at least run across the carpet when I’m watching Coronation Street and scare the shit out of me.

For all the traumas brought by the storm, there were some impressive photos all over Twitter. This one of Bath Abbey being struck by a bolt of lightning is my favourite.

  • About Me

So you stumbled across my blog. No doubt after searching for something bizarre on Google. Before you hit that 'Back Button', why not stay and have a read for a few minutes?

If you are after a website which gives advice on how to hack an iPhone X, download the latest Steven Seagal movie, or view nudy ladies, you've come to the wrong place and may now press 'Back'.

However, if you would like a lifestyle blog, written by a 30-something chap, living in Bath (England), feast your eyes on this.

You won't discover how to copy PlayStation 4 games. What you will find is a blog, covering life in the West Country, the highs and lows of supporting two unsuccessful football teams, while sharing a house with a wife and rabbit.

All written by a man, somewhere on the sanity-scale between normal and eccentric.
