Euro 2008 begins today. I should be joining millions of other English football fans in anticipating England’s participation, and guessing which team would knock them out on penalties in the quarter finals (again). Alas, as we all know, England won’t even be going out in a shoot-out, thanks mainly to Steve McClaren. Bastard.

So, what team should I go for? If I’m going to support another country, I may as well back one which has half a chance of winning – after all, I’m NEVER going to see international success with England.

For obvious reason, I won’t be supporting France or Germany. In fact, I will be cheering on whoever plays them! I still have bitter memories of Portugal, so hope they lose too (if only to see poor Ronaldo sobbing like a baby). Czech Republic are tempting, as are Spain; but I’m going for Italy.

One of my best holidays I had as a child was in Italy. I also like eating pizza and pasta; and played a lot of Super Mario games on the SNES – more than enough reasons to become an Italian for a few weeks!

So… Forza Italia!

  • About Me

So you stumbled across my blog. No doubt after searching for something bizarre on Google. Before you hit that 'Back Button', why not stay and have a read for a few minutes?

If you are after a website which gives advice on how to hack an iPhone X, download the latest Steven Seagal movie, or view nudy ladies, you've come to the wrong place and may now press 'Back'.

However, if you would like a lifestyle blog, written by a 30-something chap, living in Bath (England), feast your eyes on this.

You won't discover how to copy PlayStation 4 games. What you will find is a blog, covering life in the West Country, the highs and lows of supporting two unsuccessful football teams, while sharing a house with a wife and rabbit.

All written by a man, somewhere on the sanity-scale between normal and eccentric.
