I’ve been spending far too much money this week! Firstly, I’ve finally completed my X-Files DVD collection and bought Season 9, OK its not as great as the earlier seasons but being a big fan of the series, I have to get it!

More importantly, my new PC is currently being built and will be delivered on Thursday!!! Its a pretty cool spec and for a very good price. Here’s the full spec…

The Football Factory is a new British film about to be released in cinemas (due to the films content I’m not sure if its good or bad timing with Euro 2004 starting next month!).

The film focuses on the nations obsession with football from the prospective of a group of football hooligans. Set mainly in London, the Chelsea supporting hooligans prepare for a massive fight with Millwall fans (refreshing to see the media leaving Leeds out the picture for this type of film!).

Even if you hate football, I still highly recommend this film. If I remember correctly you don’t even see a ball in the whole film and references to the sport are kept to a minimum. This is yet another great British film and features many familiar faces from other films such as Lock, Stock & two Smoking Barrels.

Best film I’ve seen in a long time.

So Chelsea have been knocked out of The Champions League by Monaco. What can a Leeds fan say? Well maybe they should remember the Chelsea fans who mocked them earlier in the week when they got relegated?

It’s good to see the English sides do well (unless it’s Manchester United!) but it does bring a smile to a non-Chelsea supporter s face when you think “Mr. Abramovich, you can’t buy trophies!”

So with a Monaco v Porto final on 26th May, the question is “Who do you want to win?” Personally I’m backing Porto – the minnows (no offence) who knocked ManUtd out the competition.

Congratulations to Monaco and Porto for yesterday.

As you probably know by now, Leeds United have now been relegated and will be playing in Division 1 next season. But as the fans proudly sung at the Bolton game WE’LL BE BACK! WE’LL BE BACK!

Why is it that in football that every time you need a team to beat another to help yours out, they don’t? Newcastle, battling hard week in, week out for a Champions League spot. Go to play Manchester City who are in a massive relegation fight with Leeds. Newcastle, the obvious favourites to win. Newcastle put out a dire performance, lose 1-0 and City become 6 points clear of Leeds with a far superior goal difference!!

Of course mathematically Leeds cans till beat the drop, but that would require getting wins against Bolton and Charlton as well as a point or three from Chelsea, with Man City losing all their remaining fixtures (or maybe drawing 1). Looks like Leeds are set to go down to division 1 with Wolves and Leicester who were both relegated today.

Still, Leeds may have had a poor couple of years. The team may be bad, but the club is still fantastic. Leeds United are the best CLUB in the world (even though the team may not be at the moment!), ‘IF’ they go down, they’ll be back, maybe in 1 year, maybe more, but they will be back and fighting for silver wear.

Good luck Leeds against Bolton – there’s still a chance!
