I got a multipack bag of those new Walkers crisps recently. If I’m honest, I’m not very impressed.
Onion Bhaji – they’re ok. Unsurprisingly tastes a bit like curry, but a very weak flavour.
Fish & Chips – not liking fish, I have not even tried these.
Cajun squirrel – having never feasted on real squirrel, I cannot really judge the authenticity of the flavour. They tasted meaty, strange and not very nice.
Builder’s Breakfast – going by the name, I initially expected these to taste of cigarettes and coffee. Turns out, they just tasted very strongly of hard boiled egg. I do like egg, but not to that extent.
Chili & Chocolate – the strangest flavour of the lot, but probably my favourite. Does what it says on the packet – tastes literally of chili and chocolate.
Crispy Duck and Hoisin – with this being duck, I thought they would taste of bread (after all, ducks eat enough of the stuff) Like the squirrel flavour, they’re very meaty and taste weird – I don’t know if that’s the hoisin, whatever that is.
You can vote for your favourite flavour on the Walkers website. The winner will be made a permanent member of the crisp family.
I personally wouldn’t buy any of these again and will stick to Cheese & Onion or Smokey Bacon.
The egg chasing takes over the TV and radio stations for the 6 Nations.
Boooring!
I guess this is how rugby fans feel about football for 11 months of the year.
As expected, I will have absolutely no football to watch tomorrow. Bath City’s game away to Fisher is off. Just the latest victim of the weather. Looks like it’ll be another Saturday afternoon spent with Jeff Stelling.
I was really enjoying the snow at the start of the week, but after two postponed football games and a skeleton staffed IT department today, it is starting to get a little annoying.
What I am not looking forward to is the re-arranged game against Fisher (whenever that may be). It will be played midweek, which means a Tuesday night trip into Central London through rush hour traffic. Fun, fun, fun!
I had a disgusting tea tonight – Chicken Peri Peri from Asda. It was so foul, the meat (or what I thought was meat) was all thrown away.
Before tipping the remains into the bin, I noticed the packaging promising a full refund if I was not 100% satisfied and did not “love” my product.
I decided to e-mail Asda. I was relatively polite about the whole matter, but refrained from comparing the marinated chicken to dog food – mainly as dog food would probably taste better.
After sending the e-mail, I enjoyed a much nicer dessert – Asda coffee ice cream – lush. The same offer of a refund was on that packet too. It got me thinking…
I LOVE my girlfriend
I LOVE my family
I REALLY LIKED the Asda coffee ice cream
But they’re offering a full refund if I don’t LOVE it. This deal sounds too good to be true. I could, effectively, eat lovely food, for free, for life; all courtesy of Asda.
It’s snowing again now – quiet heavily. Most of it looks like sleet, so I doubt it’ll settle tonight.
As long as the pavements are not like an ice rink (like yesterday) I won’t be complaining.
As for the chances of being snowed in; I think it has got to the stage where I am more likely to miss work as a result of a meteor shower than a snow storm. If only I was a teacher, bus driver or bin man…
