Football
Bath City – rubbish performance, shattered players, 3 points dropped.
Leeds United – another win, another 3 points, 6 points of 1st place.
Phill Neville – Sent off against Liverpool for a save that Paul Robinson can only dream of making.

Egg Chasing
England lose the egg-and-spoon-race final. Awww… did-ums.

F1
Poor Lewis. Inevitable after the previous race. Hopefully some good will come of this.

Rest of my weekend
Too late to blog anymore.

I dragged myself out of bed at this horrible time to watch the F1. If everything goes to plan, the young English driver, Lewis Hamilton, could win the championship in China today. It’s very early on in the race, but instead of going back to bed and missing the finale, I thought I would do something constructive and blog.

Yesterday, I made the trip towards the south coast to watch Bath City take on Havant and Waterlooville (what a name!). The game was dire. You could say I ‘havant’ seen a worse performance in ages. The referee was also terrible – one of the worst we have had in ages. City fans are normally quite placid, but the moron in the black yesterday really incited the supporters. The ref may have been poor, but the players were worse and cannot complain about losing 1-0.

Leeds continued their marvellous start to the season, and beat Yeovil 1-0; leaving it late again, grabbing a cheeky goal – are we ManU in disguise? Dennis Wise has to be commended. He has, indeed, given Leeds the best start to a season in the clubs history… In 1973/4, we saw Leeds start the season WWWWWWWDWD. This season has seen WWWWWWWDWW – well done boys. Critics could argue that the opposition has been different – Arsenal, Spurs and ManU, as opposed to Oldham, Gillingham and Yeovil – never mind, hey.

Firstly, apologies to all of those who hate my sport blogs, as this is going to be one on the sensitive topic – be fair though, I haven’t mentioned football for some weeks now.

Congratulations are well and truly in order for Lewis Hamilton, the F1 driver. Back-to-back victories, and so much achieved at such a young age. I think ‘Little Lewis’ has rekindled my interest in motor sport.

I also wish to give praise to the England Under-21 football team. This evening they beat Serbia to reach the semi-finals in the European Championship. I just wish their senior counterparts could play with such effort and desire.

Finally, congratulations to Real Madrid for winning La Liga. As a Barca fan, I cannot deny the fact I am disappointed, but the best team won, and it seemed fitting that Sir Beckham (as he will soon, no doubt be known) should bow out with a winners medal. I watched the celebrations on TV, and have to be honest, they were nothing compared to those when Bath City won the league last month.

Good night!

It has come to my attention that there is to be a major sporting event tomorrow. Apparently midgets dress up in clothing made of curtains, wear funny hats and race on horseback for lots of money, pride and some trophy. Millions of people bet millions of pounds on which midget and horse will cross the finish line first.

This competition/race/freak show is known as “The Grand National”. At work I was encouraged to hand over £1 into a sweepstake and pick a horse out of a plastic cup. If my horse wins the race, comes 2nd or 3rd I win money. The horse I randomly picked is called Jack Height and according to some expert/gambling addict this is a good one. Here’s hoping Jack High wins me £25 and not Jack Shit.

I was hoping to see Ruud Van Horseface enter the race tomorrow afternoon. Mind you he has a tough game coming up against Arsenal the following day. He doesn’t want to end up tripping over a hedge, being shot and sent to the glue factory.

Finally remember than Manchester United fan making a right prick of himself miming to a song? Well it pains me to say it but I have come across a Leeds fan doing the same thing. Take a look at it here, it is just cringeworthy. Maybe I have missed something but is there now an internet craze to film yourself on a webcam miming to a song and upload it to the website You Tube? I’ve got another name for the YouTube website which suites it’s users perfectly…

Went to the pub this afternoon to watch the egg chasing, according to a rugby following friend of mine it is the start of The Six Nations, an important competition on the egg chasing calendar.

England were playing Wales and comfortably won, can’t remember the score (not too bothered to be honest!). I was more interested in checking the latest football scores on my mobile phone, logging in and out of Orange GPRS every few minutes to check how Leeds were doing against QPR.

My friend was not too impressed, wanting me to take an interest in the egg chasing and not the football scores he stole my phone. Probably did me a favour in the end as connecting to GPRS is not cheap, especially on pay as you go.

Anyway, Leeds won 2-0 in the end, another 3 points – all good! Here’s a mix for the game (I recorded the commentary while I was out!).

  • About Me

So you stumbled across my blog. No doubt after searching for something bizarre on Google. Before you hit that 'Back Button', why not stay and have a read for a few minutes?

If you are after a website which gives advice on how to hack an iPhone X, download the latest Steven Seagal movie, or view nudy ladies, you've come to the wrong place and may now press 'Back'.

However, if you would like a lifestyle blog, written by a 30-something chap, living in Bath (England), feast your eyes on this.

You won't discover how to copy PlayStation 4 games. What you will find is a blog, covering life in the West Country, the highs and lows of supporting two unsuccessful football teams, while sharing a house with a wife and rabbit.

All written by a man, somewhere on the sanity-scale between normal and eccentric.
