I think I have new neighbours. Well, either that or my existing ones have a new HiFi with extra loud speakers. Last night, while John and Simon visited, we were treated to an evening of Musical Hits of the 90’s, courtesy of a nearby resident and their sound waves penetrating the walls. Being a fan of most of the songs being played, I did not object. In fact, it saved me having to find music to play myself.

What I did have a problem with is the music carried on and on and on, even after my friends had left. To make matters worse, the classic records of the 90’s stopped and were replaced by what sounded like a karaoke session of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun – over and over again.

As I lay in my bed at 2am, I felt like Victor Meldrew in that episode of One Foot in the Grave, where a nearby party enraged him by playing The Laughing Policeman in the early hours.

Luckily, by 3am the music had stopped. That didn’t prevent me from feeling very tired all Sunday from lack of sleep.

If the same happens again, I will have no choice but to alert the US Military and inform them that an Osama Bin Laden lookalike has been spotted in my neighbour’s property and all residents must be destroyed.

Now, I must go to sleep. Hopefully there will be no more illegal raves tonight. If there are, I know who to ask for help.

I’ve got some large speakers, an amp, and some interesting music you can borrow if you want to beat them at their own game 🙂

Have to go some way to beat them at their high-pitched, drowning cat karaoke though.

  • About Me

So you stumbled across my blog. No doubt after searching for something bizarre on Google. Before you hit that 'Back Button', why not stay and have a read for a few minutes?

If you are after a website which gives advice on how to hack an iPhone X, download the latest Steven Seagal movie, or view nudy ladies, you've come to the wrong place and may now press 'Back'.

However, if you would like a lifestyle blog, written by a 30-something chap, living in Bath (England), feast your eyes on this.

You won't discover how to copy PlayStation 4 games. What you will find is a blog, covering life in the West Country, the highs and lows of supporting two unsuccessful football teams, while sharing a house with a wife and rabbit.

All written by a man, somewhere on the sanity-scale between normal and eccentric.
