I was saddened to read the recent news that the former Leeds United player, Liam Miller, is suffering from cancer.
He is only 36, so far too young to be battling the disease.
My fondest memory of Liam is his part in one of Leeds United’s great comebacks in the club’s history. Miller scored the winning goal in a 4-3 victory over The Saint, after Leeds trailed 3-0. I was lucky enough to be there.
Liam battled hard in that game. I am sure he’ll give his all in this latest battle.
