I have been listening to Audiobooks for a few years. In that time, I have built up an impressive collection.

I get on really well with this format of book. I’m one of those people, who loves the idea of settling down with a good book – the only thing preventing me from doing this, is that I get easily distracted, so I lose track of what I was reading.

With Audiobooks, you can listen to wonderful novels, autobiographies and much more, pretty much doing whatever you like.

Here are some examples of strange and unusual places I have listened to my books…

  1. In the middle of the Mediterranean
  2. While having a poo
  3. In a hospital bed
  4. While playing the PlayStation

That’s only 4. I could add others, such ss “in bed” or “at work”, but those would be too mundane, even for me!

Seeing as I am in the mood for lists, here are my Top 10 Audiobooks. Strictly in no particular order.

  1. This is Going to Hurt: Secret Diaries of a Junior Doctor
    Adam Kay
  2. Around the World in Eighty Days
    Jules Verne
  3. Storyteller
    Donald Sturrock
  4. Silence of the Lambs (+ Hannibal)
    Thomas Harris
  5. Life on Air: Memoirs of a Broadcaster
    David Attenborough
  6. Confessions of a GP (+ Further Confessions)
    Benjamin Daniels
  7. The Queen and I
    Sue Townsend
  8. Around the World in Eighty Days
    Michael Palin
  9. Misery
    Stephen King
  10. The Animals of Farthing Wood
    Colin Dann

  • About Me

So you stumbled across my blog. No doubt after searching for something bizarre on Google. Before you hit that 'Back Button', why not stay and have a read for a few minutes?

If you are after a website which gives advice on how to hack an iPhone X, download the latest Steven Seagal movie, or view nudy ladies, you've come to the wrong place and may now press 'Back'.

However, if you would like a lifestyle blog, written by a 30-something chap, living in Bath (England), feast your eyes on this.

You won't discover how to copy PlayStation 4 games. What you will find is a blog, covering life in the West Country, the highs and lows of supporting two unsuccessful football teams, while sharing a house with a wife and rabbit.

All written by a man, somewhere on the sanity-scale between normal and eccentric.
