Disappointing

Basically, a very average extended episode that could easily have been from the TV series. In fact, had they cut out all the stupid sub-plots, the main story would easily have fitted into a 45 minute slot.

I know the writers wanted to make a movie not based upon the whole mythology; but there were so many great ‘non-alien episodes’ in the series, that surely the film could have been written along those lines. Eugene Victor Tooms on the big screen would have been excellent – and very, very scary!

Anyway – what’s the point Mulder and Scully bothering? According to the TV series, we’re going to be invaded and killed by aliens in 2012.

While looking on YouTube, I found the latest trailer for the new X-Files movie.

Why on earth Scottish “comedian” Billy Connolly and gangster rapper Xzibit were cast, is an X-File in itself!

I am more than a little happy this evening. After browsing IMDB, I have learnt that the brand new X-Files movie WILL be released this summer! Oh-my-fucking-God! I know it sounds incredibly sad, but I cannot emphasis enough how excited I am about the return of The X-Files.

I was already counting down the days to Indiana Jones, Batman and the new Bond movie, but X-Files will surpass them all.

Time to dig out the X-Files DVDs again and re-cap some wonderful, classic moments in time for the summers release!

Read about this today and got rather excited.

The return of The X-Files sounds excellent – isn’t David Duchovny pushing 50 though? I don’t want to see a repeat of Roger Moore’s attempt to play James Bond in A View To A Kill. Gillian Anderson must be getting on a bit too, although I did see her on TV the other week (on that Princess Diana concert farce), and she looked amazing!

Check out this new project which I am working on – The X-Files Blog.

I have had the fabulous idea of digging out the old X-Files DVDs and watching Seasons 1-9 over the next few months, blogging about each episode. It’ll be a great way to write my thoughts and opinions on the episodes as I watch them, and also record X-File memories from the last 12 years.

If you are a fan of the cult series, check out the blog and leave your own comments, opinions and memories. I would love to read them.

Sparkster.net, which celebrates its 3rd anniversary next month, will remain as a general interest blog. The X-Files Blog being merely a side project.

So you stumbled across my blog. No doubt after searching for something bizarre on Google. Before you hit that 'Back Button', why not stay and have a read for a few minutes?

If you are after a website which gives advice on how to hack an iPhone X, download the latest Steven Seagal movie, or view nudy ladies, you've come to the wrong place and may now press 'Back'.

However, if you would like a lifestyle blog, written by a 30-something chap, living in Bath (England), feast your eyes on this.

You won't discover how to copy PlayStation 4 games. What you will find is a blog, covering life in the West Country, the highs and lows of supporting two unsuccessful football teams, while sharing a house with a wife and rabbit.

All written by a man, somewhere on the sanity-scale between normal and eccentric.
