As everyone’s favourite evil dictator, Hitler, found out last week, Bath City will be playing Braintree away tomorrow night.

Unfortunately, this fixture is going to have to be put on the very small list of matches I will not be attending this season.

If I was valiant enough to make the effort, I would need to be at Twerton Park by 2pm, where I would return after the game some 12 hours later. Not worth it (even for Bath City), especially as I have no annual leave or lieu time left (having booked all of Christmas off and am starting my new job in January).

Luckily my Tuesday evening will not be totally without excitement – Leeds play Kettering in the FA Cup Replay, and best of all, it’s televised. Thank you, ITV.

A final warning for those making the trip – don’t expect an enthralling victory for City. Since I have started regularly attending away games, the few matches I have missed in recent years have all been worth avoiding…

Tue 12th Aug 08 – Maidenhead (away) – Drew 0-0
Sat 6th Sep 08 – Havant (away) – Drew 0-0
Sat 20th Dec 08 – Welling (away) – Lost 2-1
Sat 28th Feb 09 – Basingstoke (away) – Lost 1-0
Tue 6th Oct 09 – Bridgewater (away) – Lost 3-0
Sat 31st Oct 09 – Bromley (home) – Drew 0-0

No victories and, coincidentally, the four most recent games (including tomorrows) all against team’s whose name starts with the letter ‘B’.

So you stumbled across my blog. No doubt after searching for something bizarre on Google. Before you hit that 'Back Button', why not stay and have a read for a few minutes?

If you are after a website which gives advice on how to hack an iPhone X, download the latest Steven Seagal movie, or view nudy ladies, you've come to the wrong place and may now press 'Back'.

However, if you would like a lifestyle blog, written by a 30-something chap, living in Bath (England), feast your eyes on this.

You won't discover how to copy PlayStation 4 games. What you will find is a blog, covering life in the West Country, the highs and lows of supporting two unsuccessful football teams, while sharing a house with a wife and rabbit.

All written by a man, somewhere on the sanity-scale between normal and eccentric.
