Bath City’s fixtures for the new season in their brand new league were released today.

The opening fixture is disappointing. Hayes & Yeading United away. We played this team two seasons ago in the Conference South. Not a nice team, unpleasant fans and a rubbish ground. Talk about an anti-climax.

My heart goes out to the Altrincham supporters who will need to travel to Somerset on a Tuesday night in October. The furthest we need to go midweek is Crawley and that’s bad enough! Still, it could be worse – Newport have to go to Barrow one evening.

A long old poke

Our friends from Wales face Bath City twice over the Christmas and New Year period, with us catching Santa’s sleigh over the Severn on Boxing Day, while a few thousand hungover Welshmen will make the return trip on New Years Day 2011.

The latter half of the season’s fixtures has made me consider buying a house next to The Angel of the North. Looooong journeys to Gateshead, Barrow, Darlington and Grimsby in February, March and April. I’m not looking forward to leaving Bath in the middle of the night!

So you stumbled across my blog. No doubt after searching for something bizarre on Google. Before you hit that 'Back Button', why not stay and have a read for a few minutes?

If you are after a website which gives advice on how to hack an iPhone X, download the latest Steven Seagal movie, or view nudy ladies, you've come to the wrong place and may now press 'Back'.

However, if you would like a lifestyle blog, written by a 30-something chap, living in Bath (England), feast your eyes on this.

You won't discover how to copy PlayStation 4 games. What you will find is a blog, covering life in the West Country, the highs and lows of supporting two unsuccessful football teams, while sharing a house with a wife and rabbit.

All written by a man, somewhere on the sanity-scale between normal and eccentric.
