Tomorrow morning I will embark upon my longest ever trip as a football fan. In fact it is my longest trip ever. OK, I’ve been abroad to France, Spain and Italy on holiday, but this is my furthest ever venture north. The lyrics “Oh my God, I can’t believe it, I’ve never been this far away from home” would be rather fitting.

I need to get up at the truly awful time of 5:30am. The thought of getting out of my bed at this time is simply too terrible to comprehend. Leaving my flat shortly after to walk to Twerton Park for 6.30am when the mini bus (yes, that’s right, no full sized coach this week) departs for County Durham, won’t be a barrel of laughs either.

Looking at Google Maps it really is far. Miles and miles and miles.

Compare the map of Bath to Darlington to that of Bath to The Moon. Not a lot of difference!

  • About Me

So you stumbled across my blog. No doubt after searching for something bizarre on Google. Before you hit that 'Back Button', why not stay and have a read for a few minutes?

If you are after a website which gives advice on how to hack an iPhone X, download the latest Steven Seagal movie, or view nudy ladies, you've come to the wrong place and may now press 'Back'.

However, if you would like a lifestyle blog, written by a 30-something chap, living in Bath (England), feast your eyes on this.

You won't discover how to copy PlayStation 4 games. What you will find is a blog, covering life in the West Country, the highs and lows of supporting two unsuccessful football teams, while sharing a house with a wife and rabbit.

All written by a man, somewhere on the sanity-scale between normal and eccentric.
