It’s been a good Bank Holiday Weekend. Firstly as I mentioned the other day, Super Leeds United beat Norwich City 1-0 and England’s cricket team beat The Aussie’s to go 2-1 up in the series.

I also managed to watch all three Star Wars prequels (Phantom Menance, Attack of the Clones and went to see Revenge of the Sith). All the reviews were right, Phantom Menace was rubbish and Jar Jar Binks was very annoying, he reminded me so much of Vanessa from Big Brother. Attack of the Clones was good but the latest Star Wars movie Revenge of the Sith was by far my favourite of the three. The transformation of Anakin Skywalker into Darth Vadar across the movie was excellent.

I’ve also been watching the highly acclaimed television series Lost. I did start watching this last year but for some reason never got into it. I’m watching the Region 1 DVD at the moment and am up to episode 8 (so ahead of Channel 4 viewers now) and am really enjoying it (I’m off to start DVD#3 after this blog entry).

The weather’s been great this weekend as well so I didn’t spend the whole time inside watching DVDs. Saturday night I had a barbecue, quite possibly the last one of 2005.

Most of today was spent outside enjoying the sunshine while listening to the Ten Hour Takeover on BBC Radio 1. I did enjoy this, across the day listeners texted in their requests and they were then played… well supposedly. I requested Timmy Mallets version of “Itsy-Bitsy Teeny-Weeny Yellow Polka-Dot Bikini” and the Leeds United song “Marching on Together”. Neither got played! Still the variety of music across the day was interesting to say the least, my favourite track of the day being an extended version of the theme tune to children’s TV show Dogtanian :o)

Finally Kermal has been booted out of the Big Brother house. He is the only housemate where my views have stayed the same with throughout the series. I dislike the man; he represents everything which is bad about the new contestants of Big Brother – totally fake and only in it to win it, by acting.

Somehow I don’t think Kermal shops at The Officers Club

This is unlike Eugene who, although a little eccentric, I believe to be totally genuine and although joining late deserves to win. Sparkster.net continues to support him for victory.

Now onto the subject of Podcasting, this is a way of listening to previously aired radio broadcasts by downloading them over the internet and listening to them on either your PC or portable MP3 player.

The BBC are now trialling Podcasting for some of their radio broadcasts. More info on Podcasting can be found here, along with a list of all the BBC radio broadcasts taking part in the trial.

It looks interesting and I’ll probably make use of the Five Live’s Film Reviews, Sport Review and Rumour Mill as well as “The Best of Moyles” from the Radio 1 section.

Funny how “The Best of Moyles” is only 20 minutes in duration while the actual show is on for 3 hours a day, 5 days a week. Before you take off music and news (which there isn’t much of) that’s 900 minutes of material cut down to 20. Doesn’t say much for quality does it? :o)

Sorry about the lack of updates lately. No excuses, I’ll just get on with blogging…

Leeds have just finished playing Millwall away. The game finished 1-1. A few months ago I would have been more than happy with this result, but based upon recent form and the way Leeds played in the second half, I am slightly disappointed Leeds didn’t win. Still, they’re now in 9th place and only 3 points off the play offs – C’mon!

The new Formula 1 season kicked off this weekend, the Australia Grand Prix being the first of the season. Giancarlo Fisichella won the Grand Prix, British driver David Coulthard came fourth and Jenston Button eleventh. Best of all though Michael SCUMacher, the cheat and F1’s answer to Manchester United had to retire after he spinned his car off the track! Hahahahaha!

On Friday I went to the cinema to see Robert DeNiro’s latest film Hide and Seek. This is a horror/thriller about a psychologist (DeNiro) who moves away from the city with his daughter after his wife kills herself. His daughter is disturbed by her mummies death and makes up a supposed imaginary friend called Charlie. Charlie causes havoc though and when people start to die you wonder who Charlie really is…

Are you talking to me? Are you talking… to ME?

As I have mentioned on this site before, I am a big fan of Robert DeNiro, he is my best actor of all time. Hide and Seek wasn’t his finest hour but that’s comparing him to Goodfellas, Taxi, Raging Bull, etc.

Finally next Friday it’s Comic Relief or Red Nose Day (whatever they call it nowadays). Like most years a charity record is released to make money for the cause. Boy band McFly have recorded All About You.

I’m not a fan of McFly or the single although I heard a brilliant parody of the song on the radio. It’s called He Doesn’t Use Shampoo. Check it out, it’s great, if you’re feeling generous you may want to buy a copy of the McFly single too. The CD can be used as a coaster, mirror, Frisbee or if you want to piss someone off can be played in a HiFi (just make sure you’re wearing a pair of ear plugs!)

  • About Me

So you stumbled across my blog. No doubt after searching for something bizarre on Google. Before you hit that 'Back Button', why not stay and have a read for a few minutes?

If you are after a website which gives advice on how to hack an iPhone X, download the latest Steven Seagal movie, or view nudy ladies, you've come to the wrong place and may now press 'Back'.

However, if you would like a lifestyle blog, written by a 30-something chap, living in Bath (England), feast your eyes on this.

You won't discover how to copy PlayStation 4 games. What you will find is a blog, covering life in the West Country, the highs and lows of supporting two unsuccessful football teams, while sharing a house with a wife and rabbit.

All written by a man, somewhere on the sanity-scale between normal and eccentric.
