For the past year or so, I have been nagging people to buy me an iPad whenever it’s my birthday, Christmas or Bar Mitzvah.
Now I am pleased to announce that I no longer want an iPad.
I want one of these instead.
A Bath City fixture poster was chucked through the letterbox the other day. Apparently the club are sending them to thousands of homes throughout Bath in a bid to increase support.
There are 4 other flats in my building. Obviously no of my fellow residents took an interest as the flyer was left in a pile with some junk mail.
Most of the flats in my block get an excellent view of Twerton Park, so if they’re unaware that there is a football club down the road, they’re blind.
I therefore I liberated the advert and took it into my own flat, in case I forget who Bath City are playing.
I hate missing Bath City games. That is probably why I try to attend them all. Sometimes though, it cannot be helped and on a rare occasion I am unable to watch The Romans play.
I missed tonight’s game at Rushden & Diamonds due to work commitments. Instead, I stayed at home and listened to the commentary on the internet.
On retrospect, I think it was quite a good game to miss. City lost 5-1. The first time they have conceded 5 goals since 2004.
I can’t help but feel partly responsible. Had I been at the game, my mere presence would no doubt have inspired the team to a 6-0 victory.
